The Birchwood Manor team embraces the strength of tradition, cultured by visionary leaders, and is committed to providing outstanding events for their guests.
In 1953, founder Michael Marino, Sr. purchased a sunny tract of land dappled with delicate white birch trees in Whippany, New Jersey. It became the site of the original White Birch Grove, where local clubs and organizations held their annual summer outings, which were popular in the 1950’s. To meet the demand for year-round events, a one-room facility was soon built and renamed Birchwood Manor.
In 1960, Michael Marino, Jr. initiated the expansion of the original structure. Through leadership, vision, and determination, the twenty acres were transformed into a full-service catering facility with grounds of unsurpassed beauty.
Today, the third and fourth generations of the Marino family continue the tradition of hospitality and personal service.
