Gianluca’s Birthday

Gianluca celebrated his 4th birthday in a BIG way with a monster truck theme party! The West Lounge party room was decorated in a colorful array of bright yellow, red, blue, and orange, with monster truck mylar balloons floating above each table.

The guests started with a buffet of hot chafing dishes, including pecan chicken, eggplant rollatini, sausage & peppers, and crispy fried fantail shrimp. There were also cold displays of deviled eggs, tossed salad, fresh fruits and vegetables, cheeses and crackers, and more. A chef was carving herb roasted turkey and prime ribs of beef, au jus. The children’s favorite station was serving chicken fingers and fries, of course.

After the meal, everyone was directed into the Greenery where there were activities to keep the kids entertained. But the BIG surprise for the birthday boy and his friends could be seen outside the atrium windows on the West Lawn – the giant Monster Truck Mayhem Combo! The kids went wild bouncing, climbing, and sliding inside this larger than life inflatable. And to ensure no one had to wait in line, there was a second colorful inflatable with a triple slide.

It was a perfect day with perfect weather for outdoor fun!

After about an hour, and before the kids got too tired (if that’s even possible), everyone came back inside to sing “Happy Birthday” to Gianluca. His cake was a monster truck arena with mini monster trucks. So cool!
